INTRODUCTION

Ninkas accepted a request from a king in a nearby kingdom. The quest being to help the hero’s party. They’ve been inside one of the most dangerous dungeons in the country for a week already. The Beyond Dungeon. Play as Ninkas, the undying mercenary, as he starts his new adventure to find them!

Will you be qualified to meet King Kher Fei’s Expectations and find the hero’s party? Or will you go beyond that, and do something more?

CONTROLS
Arrow Keys -> Move
Mouse -> Point and click movement
Space/Enter -> Interact
Press and Hold Shift -> Run
Esc -> Main Menu/Continue Dialogue
Press and Hold Space/Enter While in Dialogue -> Skip Dialogues

GAMEPLAY
I didn’t change anything regarding the engine’s default gameplay, which is front side turn based RPG Mechanics.
You basically level up until you can beat the current boss. Rinse and repeat. More bosses beat, more story progression, and more skills unlocked. Beat the Final Boss to beat the game. Level up by beating enemies when encountering them in hostile areas.

BEYOND MECHANIC
To be inline with the beyond expectations theme, the beyond mechanic is if you level up more than what the current area recommends, you will gain a Beyond Skill! That's the only beyond expectations gameplay mechanic.
The story, most if not all of the side characters, and villains also use the theme I suppose. With their own unique spins on how they went beyond expectations.

DEV THOUGHTS
Heyo! If you do end up playing this little game I made, I hope you enjoy it. I made it pretty straight forward because it’s my first time using RPG Maker MZ for these things. I have been working on a RPG Maker XP game project when I saw that this game jam was announced, so I immediately hopped on the bandwagon.
If you are afraid of words, you can just skip em! But if you want the story bulk, make sure to be ready to face a lot of words! (Like I don't know a couple thousand? I don't know how to count!)
Ahhh, I wanted to add way more things like more dungeon floors, hidden quests and puzzles, but time’s a wasting. Rest assured, the main bulk of the game is finished, complete with 2-4 hours worth of content (depending if you skip dialogue or not).
